Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–4 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (562) 628-9835. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

This place is very cute and niche! It has a lovely atmosphere. I only got a muffin due to already have gotten a coffee elsewhere but i wish I had. There’s a karaoke set right next to their refrigerator or something so this place could definitely have a very nice vibe. Space I would definitely come back if we went to Golden shore RV again this place is just clean very friendly service prices are extremely reasonable for coffee and teas and also hot chocolate. If you’re into also, but they also have like sodas and stuff like that that you can purchase also, I think there was a sign it was only cash but it kicked out if you if you want to, so I don’t think you bring a credit card card that might help you. Wish I could’ve done the most injustice, but I had already eaten the top part of it. I mean look at it so cute came in this little container. It looks homemade I had a lot of chocolate little muffins does not taste commercial at all it’s $2.50 would buy again.

A delightful little coffee house! Very pleasant ambiance with lots of greenery. Fantastic variety of hot and cold coffee drinks and teas. The highlights are the Mexican inspired drinks like the horchata latte and (my favorite) the Mexican Mocha. I could drink a hot mexican mocha every day for my entire life.

Amazingly fresh sandwich 🥪🤤 This is the first good sandwich I have had here in USA that is not filled with fake cheese or has too much ham that you get sick of it. The flavor is fresh, clean and perfect amount of ham and just a small amount of mayo just like it should be! Definitely worth visiting and the shop has nice atmosphere and friendly service ❤️

The Perfect Spot to Order, Unwind, and Read! If your idea of a perfect afternoon involves ordering a delicious treat and settling in with a good book, The Birdcage is your absolute paradise. The environment here is incredibly cozy and relaxing... the ultimate neighborhood stomping ground. While it’s a wonderful, peaceful place to slow down and lose yourself in a great book, it’s also a vibrant community hub where you’ll always see local neighborhood folks catching up and chatting it up and enjoying a nice time out with the pup. The menu hits the spot every single time. My absolute go-to routine is ordering their fresh tuna sandwich croissant (it is incredibly fresh every time!) with one of their perfect coffee drinks for the ultimate pick-me-up. Once you have your order, you can find a comfortable spot, enjoy the atmosphere, and just unwind. After years of coming here, the service remains consistently warm and friendly. The owner obviously loves what he does, and he has poured that passion into creating a truly welcoming haven with a true heart for the community. Stop by, order a favorite drink, and bring your current read or meet the neighbors! You will love supporting this am

Birdcage was one of the most unique and friendly experiences I ever had. The coffee was delicious plus to get to drink it near the owner’s pet birds outside while they happily chirp away. The owner was incredibly kind. Would absolutely recommend to anyone if you’re in Long Beach.
